>Team Quest circuit race

>Another warm Tuesday evening at Hillingdon and a good, fun race promoted by Team Quest.

The 4th category field seemed smaller than in recent weeks. I was certainly able to move up and down the group more easily. I had a couple of efforts on the front, but couldn’t sustain anything. A small break was brought back just before the bunch sprint I think. I enjoyed getting involved in the gallop, albeit from too far back (a Bloke sprint we call it in the Willesden CC).

Race stats: Race distance: 18.19 miles, time: 44:07 (24.7mph average speed). 23rd of 28 finishers. Top speed: 30.7mph. Fastest mile: 2:15 (26.7mph – mile 18), slowest mile: 2:54 (20.7mph – mile 1). Average HR: 157bpm, maximum HR: 172bpm. Winner: Graham Cockerton
