>Archer RC circuit race, Hillingdon

>Last night it was back to the Tuesday crits, this week courtesy of the Archer RC.

A compact field of 4th cats lined up on a breezy night. The start was agreeably relaxed but the race soon warmed up with plenty of attacks and the bunch fragmenting at times. I had a couple of goes at the front and had to make a big effort to get back on mid-race.

I seem to get stronger as the race progresses. That said, I was tailed off in the sprint. A good race for me – the third in three days. Rest day today.

Race stats ?/?. Race distance: 15.23 miles, time: 38:16 (23.9mph average speed). Top speed: 28.5mph. Fastest mile: 2:22 (25.4mph – 15th mile), slowest mile: 2:37 (8th mile). Average HR: 161bpm, maximum HR: 174bpm. Winner: TBC
