>Quantity over quality

>Three races this week.

Wednesday: Westerley CC club 10m TT (11 laps of Hillingdon circuit) – 27:28 for the slightly over-length event. My fastest for the circuit despite being on the spare wheels, so quite happy with that. It was won in 24:04 by Roy Brooks.

Saturday: South Bucks RC 25m TT on the A4 near Woolhampton – 1:4:11. Back on the disc wheel and tubs. A hot day. It felt like it should be fast, but no one had torn up the route by the time I left. People I usually beat are creeping up on me!

Sunday: Westerley CC club 10m TT at Great Missenden – 26:49. This was about a minute slower than I’d hoped for. It was still my second fastest ’10’ of the year though. Yesterday’s ride was still in the legs, and in the engine – heart rate was 10bpm down on yesterday’s readings. The race was won by Dave Newman in 23:18.

Next week there’s a 10m TT at Farnham on Saturday and a ’25’ on the Marlow ski jump course on Sunday.
